TechCrunch has published a video demonstrating the updated iPhone Remote Application which now also works for the AppleTv.
It controls your Apple TV with simple finger gestures via the Remote app. This feature requires Remote 1.3 running on an iPhone with iPhone OS 3.0 and the AppleTV 2.4firmware.

I'm using 'Remote' for about 6 month now and all i can say:
it's a must have, so cool that the whole summertime while chilling on my
terrace listening to the finest music, the only thing that made me stand up was this cold beer in the fridge, anything else concerning iTunes was made easily with 'Remote', so now go and download yours, i promise you'll love it.
