Many people ask me how to install personalized ringtones on their iPhone as they are sick and tired of the custom ones provided by Apple. Some tutorials make things way to complicated. I shall provide you with the easiest and quickest way to personalize your precious iPhone.
Audiko probably has the sleekest interface around and provides the easiest way to make your own ringtones.
Simply go to www.audiko.net and click on “Upload”. Find a screenshot of the site beneath:

Then follow the on-screen instructions. Choose the file to upload from your hard drive. Simply let Audiko upload the file and wait until it displays following screen:

Choose the 20 second sequence you wish to use as a ringtone by sliding the blue selection left or right. Once you have selected the sequence you wish to use click the “Play” icon above the selection to listen to your selected sequence. When you’re done, simply click “Create Ringtone” and let Audiko do the rest.
All that's left to do is click on “Download ringtone for iPhone” and save it on your hard-drive in a place you know to find it in.
If you don’t wish to upload your own Mp3 file in order to create your personalized ringtone, simply browse the Audiko ringtone library which literally contains thousands and thousands of ringtones all ready for download and installing on your iPhone. Make sure to click on “Turn on Native Audiko Search” under the search field to search through the Audiko database or simply browse by category further down on the page.
Last step: Sync the ringtone with your iPhone.
Just like syncing music previously added to your iTunes library with your iPhone you need to first add your ringtone to the “Ringtones” library in your iTunes.
If you can’t see the “Ringtones” library on the left-hand side under your “Library” list, click on Edit > Preferences and make sure that “Ringtones” is clicked on the “General” tab. Then click OK and “Ringtones” should appear.
Now simply click on “Ringtones” and then click on Files > Add file to library. Browse to wherever you previously saved your ringtone an double click it. After a couple of seconds you should see your ringtone appearing in the list.
That’s it! Make sure to have configured iTunes to sync the ringtone with your iPhone as shown below:
Now simply synchronize your iPhone with iTunes by clicking on the “Sync” button in the bottom right-hand corner.
Have fun!
