Cocktails+ presents over 2,000 contemporary and classic mixed drink recipes drawn from critical sources spanning two centuries.

I just love the sleek interface and the menu which couldn’t be any simpler. First of all launch the application:

As you can see on following screenshot, the main menu presents you with the different categories you can choose from. Let’s analyze them point by point and I’ll give you a couple of tips whilst running through them.

The first point allows you to simply “Browse” through the list of cocktails by swiping the screen down or up or simply enter a name of a cocktail in the search bar at the top of the list of cocktails. Little remark: in front of each cocktail you can see a little icon representing the kind of glass that should be used for serving the cocktail.
The second point called “Favorites” will be a list of your favorite recipes, but has to first be filled by you whilst discovering all these delicious beverages.
Let’s for example click on the second cocktail in the list, the Abbey Cocktail.

As the list of ingredients shows up, you will be able to click each single ingredient in order to get more information about that specific ingredient.
The navigation arrows at the bottom of the page hide a nice function: click the right-hand arrow and instead of the modern 2003 version of this cocktail you will travel back in time and discover the version as originally prepared in 1930.
By clicking the little star you add the selected cocktail to your list of favorites. When clicked you will also see a grey star appearing in the background of the recipe's page as well as a yellow star in front of the name of the cocktail in the main menu. This way you'll always have quick access to your favorite drinks. If you wish to delete a favorite, simply repeat the same steps again.
Last but not least, the little icon on the right-hand bottom side of the screen allows you to do following things: Send the recipe by email to a friend, share on Twitter or publish the recipe on your Facebook page. The Facebook feature is probably the most interesting. You will have to enter your Facebook username and password before Cocktails+ can connect to your Facebook account. This is in fact a fun feature which more and more applications on the iPhone are about to implement.
Let's now return to the main menu by clicking the arrow in the top left-hand corner.

The third point in the main menu called “Masters” gives you access to three contemporary cocktail masters and their choice of recipes, chosen or invented by themselves and accompanied by useful tips and tricks as well as some pictures of the prepared cocktails of some of their recipes.

The menu works identically as on the list of recipes. How about mixing one of these "Master Cocktails"?

The forth point is more technical. Here you will find information relative to your Facebook account etc. as well as some tips & tricks.
Last but not least, the “More” button will bring you to a list with following: base, type, flavor and tag. Simply click on base for example, choose the main base you wish to use in your cocktail and Cocktails+ will show you a complete list of cocktails specifically mixed with that alcohol as a base.

Same thing for other points on the “More” menu…so I’ll let you at least discover this menu on your own…
Now get your flip-flops on, invite some friends over for a barbecue, mix some cocktails and you may be the next master to figure in the Cocktails+ application…
