Remote is a free application that turns your iPhone into an easy to use remote control for iTunes. No more getting up and running over to your computer when you wish to change songs.
Play, pause, skip and shuffle, see your songs, playlists and album art, and do it all on your iPhone as if you were right in front of your computer.
So you wonder how to use Remote? Well, follow this simple to use tutorial.
Setting up Remote is simple. First of all, update to iTunes 8. Remote works with your Wi-Fi network, so you can control playback from anywhere in and around your home. Make sure to connect to the same Wi-Fi network your computer is one, otherwise it will not work.
Launch iTunes and then launch Remote. Then click “Add Library” from the “Settings” menu and a unique passcode appears:

Just enter this passcode into iTunes to connect your iPhone to iTunes. See screenshot:

This only has to be done the first time as iTunes will remember your iPhone next time you connect.
Getting acquainted with Remote takes almost no time at all. That's because Remote uses the same music playback controls you already know from your iPhone’s iPod function. Here a screenshot of the "Albums" view:

Well, that’s it! In fact it’s really simple and there isn’t much you can do wrong. So give it a try and once it’s up and running you’ll simply love it!
