Welcome to iPhone.lu!
We are glad to announce the official launch of our brand-new website www.iPhone.lu.
But what is iPhone.lu all about?
First of all we would like to thank you for your patience. We have been working hard on getting this tailor-made site up and running and know that the "coming soon" page has been showing for much too long.
You may be wondering why someone would make a site about a mobile phone...and we have only one single answer: 'cause it's more than just a phone.
The iPhone has truly revolutionized the way we think about mobile phones and especially what we do with mobile phones. iPhone.lu is devoted to sharing our knowledge about the iPhone with you.
We will provide you with all the latest tips, tricks, news and reviews about the iPhone. Some of you may not be complete iPhone "aficionados" nor advanced users, but simply would like to find out a little bit more about the "basic" use of this gorgeous mobile device. Well, this is the place to be! Or you have already quite some knowledge about the iPhone and want to broaden it even more? Well, you'll find your happiness here too.
Functioning out of Luxembourg, a multilingual country, we decided to provide you with all the information in two languages. This makes iPhone.lu the very first completely bilingual site about the iPhone on the whole worldwide web.
All articles will be published in both English and French. If you wish to switch languages, simply go to the top right-hand corner of your screen at any time and from any page of the site. This is where you can also "Log in" and "Sign up" in order to leave comments on articles. Other functionalities like client accounts shall be added in the near future. If you should be searching for a precise article, simply fill in the "Search iphone.lu" box and hit your Enter button.
The whole site is self-explanatory. Simply read our news-headlines on the main "Home" page or browse by categories. When we update a tutorial you will be able to find it on our "News" section as well as in our "Tutorials" section.
Concerning our articles, we have put quite some thinking into the details on the article pages. At a glance you can find out specific information about the article you are reading:
- if the article concern all iPhones or just jailbroken ones.
- where the application is available from.
This avoids you having to read through long articles before finding out that an app can't be installed on our iPhone.
If the article concerns an application, you will find following image at the bottom of the article page.
Clicking this image will launch the iTunes application of your computer and take you directly to the iTunes AppStore page of the specific app.
Like you can see in following screenshot of an article from our "Tutorials", some words are highlighted in yellow. We implemented another sweet feature here: simply click the word and you will directly be taken to its specific explanation on our "iPhone terminology" page.
For the rest we will let you discover the other feature by yourselves, hope you have fun and find some interesting information on our site.
The iPhone.lu Team
